About Us

Elegant Expressions, Inc. was started in 1999 as a vision of owner/designer Carolyn Weaver and her husband Ron. Carolyn saw a need for permanent flower arrangements sized for the style of homes being built in our area over the last several decades.

Carolyn has been active in floral design since 1970. Her first designs were pressed flowers in shadow boxes, dried flower arrangements, and “Williamsburg under glass” for a local company. For many years she used her talent in the dried flower design industry with a concentration on the “country décor” style. Around 1994 she saw the emerging need for “permanent” or “synthetic” flowers. Technology in the artificial floral industry has been improving every year, so in 1999 she launched her own company focusing on more traditional and contemporary designs using permanent flowers. Elegant Expressions has become increasingly well known for the high quality flowers and green leaf stems used in Carolyn’s designs. “Botanically Correct” has been the mantra on buying trips, and you will be impressed when you see the newest products.

Not every décor item in your home can be flowers, so we have expanded our product offerings to include other high quality home accents and decorations. You may be able to find less expensive products at other stores, but you rarely find better. Box stores and mass merchandisers are always attempting to appeal to the cost conscious shopper and purchase the less expensive products while sacrificing quality. Elegant Expressions recognizes that while high quality flower stems and home accents are more costly, we are committed to servicing the more discriminating shopper.
